About Imaginaut Photo

Images serve as one of the most potent forms of memory we have—they inspire and provoke, promote reflection and awareness, and both document and create shared experiences. Photography at large is both a craft and an art; a means of documenting our lived experiences, a means of expressing those experiences and our emotions and responses to others, and a means of creating and bringing to life entirely new experiences. Imaginaut Photo lives in that intersection of art and craft, and is a vehicle for visual experience.

Prints

Pigment prints are available for purchase, from small sizes including card prints all the way up to large-scale panoramas. Prints can be purchased as standalone pigment prints on archival photo paper, or they can be matted and flat-packed, ready to frame. Customers in Southern California can also elect to have prints framed and glazed for pickup or delivery.

Please note that specialty print requests including cyanotype, gum bichromate, and silver gelatin prints will require a consultation to ensure the most effective print for your needs.

About Andrew Saliba

Owner, Photographer, Artistic Director

Andrew is a composer, guitarist, recording artist, educator, and photographer. In 2003 he was loaned a point and shoot by a family friend, and later a DSLR. Since then he has been photographing avidly on both digital cameras and film cameras up to and including 8x10.

Most of the images on this website were shot on large format sheet film or medium format roll film. All images are captured, developed, and either digitally scanned or darkroom printed by Andrew, entirely by hand. While labor intensive, the film process cultivates an entirely different mindset while also producing results that are not achievable by digital means.

Despite an emphasis on traditional methodology Andrew also captures digital images, flies FPV and camera drones, and otherwise embraces the liminal space between the old-fashioned and the cutting-edge.
